Stationed Fort Riley, Kansas with D Troop 3rd Squadron 1966.
Deployed to Bear Cat Base Camp, RVN with unit Feb 1967-Feb 1968.
Would like to hear from people who served and/or rotated through Camp.

In Honer of 4th of July, How many of you remember the night thay blew up the ammo dump at Quang Tri...That Was Fireworks...I was sitting on bunker guard at Dong Ha that night watching it, I was in HQ Co. Driving a Recovery Track then befor I came to Delta troop. Bob W

Just "For the record" then Captains, Carter Brooks and Sid Lyons could've been in the Doughboy photo (2008 reunion. After 1st Lt. Jon Swanson was wounded (May/June 1967) on different occasions these two fine officers went "on the ground" with the Doughboys as "fill in" platoon leaders.

I was a member of the scout plt and the motorpool with most of these guys that got killed.I still have the troop book with all these mens pictures and all that were killed between 70-71.Really were heros..and miss them still..alot of pictures and memories...

Hi, Just found this site when I was looking for information on my gunner Eric Kelly. Found most of the information was correct. He was the gunner of 67-17791 when it was hit with a 122 rocket. Just wanted to set the recorded correct. He was flying as Crewchief in my place (I missed the flight)and one of the Arp's flew as gunner. Sgt Nelson was not on the aircraft.
